Rainy Days...

As the cold rain hits and the lightning flashes, I seem to find that baking becomes my escape.
What is better than curling up with a good book and a fresh piece of cake on a cold, rainy day?

Of course, I'm not allowed to bake today which sucks.

As I sit here, some fond memories are beginning to creep back to me.

Just less than a month ago, my family and I went to an island off the coast of Florida. It was beautiful there.

The sun was hot, the place was sunny, the beaches were beautiful, and (most of all) the food was delicious.

On this island was a restruant called The Bubble Room. It was the most yummy place I've ever been to!

The food was spectacular but the cakes and desserts are TO DIE FOR!

I'm sure by looking at the picture that you can see for yourself.

Desserts there include selections like:

White Christmas Cake

New York Cheesecake

Orange crunch

Rum Cake

Key Lime Pie

Red Velvet Cake

...And SOOOOOO much more!

Quite honestly, looking at those pictures makes my mouth water!

Can't wait to bake again!
